He works voluntarily for the Bethlehem Association assisting an estimated 300 - 400 refugees with their daily necessities whilst living in the woodland.<br />

He claims to have relatives living in the UK and has been at the camp for nearly one month. They have travelled for 6 months to get here, including a 6-day boat ride across the Mediterranean with 100 fellow refugees - a journey during which all thought they would drown. <br />

During that time, he attempted to enter the UK by hanging on to the axles of a truck bound for the ferry port and has been detained and subsequently let go by French police several times.<br />
